Brian Wesley Kirton

Biography
is a distinguished diplomat, international relations executive, and strategic leader with more than four decades of experience advancing trade, economic development, public affairs, and regional cooperation throughout the Caribbean and the Americas.
He currently serves as Executive Director of the World Trade Center Georgetown, where he leads strategic planning initiatives and trade-related technical assistance programs that strengthen business and investment opportunities. He also serves as Project Advisor for Demerara Dairies Inc., guiding the development of a state-of-the-art dairy farming initiative, and as Government Affairs Consultant for Demerara Distillers Limited, overseeing legislative advocacy and market access strategies. Additionally, he serves on the Executive Board of the Guyanese American Chamber of Commerce.
Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Kirton has held senior leadership positions in government, international organizations, media, and the private sector. His experience includes serving with the Organization of American States (OAS) in both Washington, D.C. and The Bahamas, Director of Public Affairs for the Guyana Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Foreign Service Officer at Guyana’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations. As Chief Correspondent for the Caribbean News Agency (CANA), he was accredited to the White House, U.S. Department of State, and U.S. Congress.
Widely respected for his expertise in diplomacy, trade, and public policy, Mr. Kirton continues to champion regional development, international cooperation, and sustainable economic growth.
