Ashley Longford

Biography
Ashley Longford is a dynamic youth leader, trade unionist, and regional advocate committed to empowering young people and strengthening worker representation across Belize and the Caribbean. She currently serves as the Caribbean and Americas Regional Representative for the Commonwealth Student Association, where she works to connect, support, and amplify national student unions, promote regional collaboration, and expand leadership opportunities for young people throughout the Commonwealth.
At the national level, Ashley is the Director of Young Vanguard, the youth arm of the National Trade Union Congress of Belize (NTUCB), where she champions the rights and interests of young workers, encourages youth participation in the labor movement, and advocates for fair, equitable workplace policies. She is also a proud member of the Christian Workers Union, reflecting her strong commitment to worker solidarity and social justice.
Ashley is the Executive Founder of RISE Belize, a coalition of youth advocates and networks dedicated to mobilizing young people around civic engagement, governance, and sustainable development. Through this platform, she works to strengthen youth voices and foster collaboration among youth-led organizations nationwide. She is also an active advocate for the development and implementation of Belize’s National Youth Policy, ensuring that young people’s needs and perspectives are meaningfully reflected in national decision-making.
Previously, Ashley served as President of the National Student Union of Belize (NSUB), where she represented students across the country and led initiatives focused on student welfare, access to education, and youth leadership development.
Professionally, Ashley brings expertise in digital strategy and marketing, currently working as an SEM Specialist at Dealer Spike Belize, where she supports businesses through data-driven online marketing solutions.
Driven by service, advocacy, and leadership, Ashley continues to build bridges between youth, labor, and policy spaces, empowering the next generation to actively shape Belize’s future.
