Aria Lightfoot

Biography

Aria Lightfoot is a strategic visionary committed to strengthening the bridge between Belize and its global community. Born in Belize and now both a U.S. and Belizean citizen, Aria brings a deeply personal and professional understanding of the diaspora experience, leveraging it to drive meaningful engagement, investment, and national development.

With over 20 years of experience across real estate, mortgage lending, and financial services, Aria currently serves in senior leadership within a private lending institution, overseeing the default loan portfolio and leading a team. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Real Estate, as well as a Master of Public Administration (MPA), equipping her with both the financial acumen and policy insight needed to operate at the intersection of business and governance.

Aria is the Co-Founder and one of the Organizers of the Belize Diaspora Summit, a platform that convenes Belizeans from around the world alongside government leaders, investors, and innovators. Under her leadership, the Summit has grown into a powerful platform mobilizing the intellectual, economic, and cultural capital of the diaspora. Her work includes spearheading high-level dialogue on critical national priorities such as finance and investment, cybersecurity and digital transformation, youth engagement, and diaspora policy development.

In addition to her diaspora leadership, Aria is an entrepreneur actively building ventures in Belize, including real estate and financial access platforms aimed at empowering local communities and small businesses. She is passionate about creating pathways for ownership, economic participation, and sustainable growth in emerging markets.

Known for her executive presence, strategic thinking, and results-driven leadership, Aria Lightfoot continues to champion a bold vision: a globally connected Belizean diaspora that is organized, influential, and deeply invested in the prosperity of its homeland.
