Mario Lara

Biography

Mario Lara is a Belizean American who lived in the United States for over 30 years, where he worked briefly in the private sector before pursuing a career in public administration.  He retired as Assistant City Manager of Sacramento, CA.  He returned to Belize with his wife and son and is currently serving as Chief Finance Officer of the Development Finance Corporation.   He holds a Master’s in Business Administration from California State University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles.
